COLLABORATORS SOUGHT FOR RESIDENCY 5-10 JUNE WITH ENSEMBLE PERPETUO AND ARTSDEPOT

In June 2017, Ensemble Perpetuo will be hosting their first ColLABoratorsessions. From 5-10th June we will be taking over the Creation Space at artsdepot in a series of rehearsals, workshops and ‘in-progress’ feedback sessions. This is a chance to work closely with the musicians of Ensemble Perpetuo and experiment with ways in which we can create cross-art collaborations with various artists and organisations.

We are seeking individuals and organisations who will work with us to create a new kind of event that blends multiple art forms. Whether you have a history of collaborating or simply an idea you are keen to workshop and experiment with music, we want to hear from you!

As well as working with composers on new repertoire, Ensemble Perpetuo aims to revitalise existing repertoire. A subject that we are exploring in this residency is that of ‘identity’. With this as our starting point we would like to invite collaborators from all areas of expertise to join us in exploring ways that different art forms explore the idea of identity.

This is an opportunity for us to experiment with and explore new ways to present chamber music and develop new multiple art form events. We are most interested in finding individuals and collectives who think they would like to contribute either performances that will be interweaved with music, or exhibitions that can be displayed across in conjunction with the music we perform. We are trying to create an immersive experience for visitors that enriches our performance from being a traditional concert into something that is cross-disciplinary and attracts a wide variety of people who are interested in experiencing music in a completely different context.

We welcome proposals and informal enquiries for this residency. Please submit no more than 2 sides of A4 with details about your proposed collaboration, links to previous work, and information about you/your organisation. Successful applicants will be contacted before May 26th and asked for an interview. For more information or to send your proposals, please contact James Turnbull at ma**@**************uo.com. Our website features a number of photos and videos from our most recent performance, Cityscapes and can be found at www.ensembleperpetuo.com

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 15th May 2017
